In 2013, the City of St. Petersburg received a $50,000 grant, to fund the African-American Heritage Trail project.

The African American Heritage Trail is a tour that provides an overview of the African American influence and history in St. Pete. Covering more than a dozen city blocks in South St. Pete’s downtown area, nineteen markers identify landmarks and provide details about the history of St. Pete’s African American community.

So, everyone can receive the full tour experience please arrive at the TROP’s Lot 4 between 10 and 10:15a. The trolley pulls out promptly at 10:30a.
