Florida born Sean Chambers began his career in the Blues back in 1998 when he toured with the legendary Hubert Sumlin as his guitarist and band leader until 2003.
During Sean’s tenure with Mr. Sumlin, Britain’s own Guitarist Magazine named Chambers as “One of the top 50 bluesguitarists of the last century.” In 2017 Sean Chambers released his 6th album entitled “Trouble & Whiskey” on the AmericanShowplace Music label. Trouble & Whiskey hit #11 onThe Billboard Blues Charts. In 2020, Chambers went into the studio andrecorded his 8th album entitled “That’s What I’m TalkinAbout” which is a tribute to his mentor, the late great Hubert Sumlin. The album reached the Top Ten on theBillboard Blues Charts and received great accolades andrave reviews around the globe. The great Paul Rodgers (Bad Company) had this to say, “Itis great to see an unsung guitar legend the caliber of Hubert Sumlin, who played with Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, being celebrated by a young artist Sean Chambers.”
“Not just the blues rock album of the year , or indeed thedecade. Sean Chambers has produced the blues rock albumof the CENTURY!! “THATíS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT”- Gerry Casey, Making A Scene (July 26, 2021)
In 2023, shortly after the unfortunate passing of legendary blues rock band SavoyBrown’s founder & leader, “Kim Simmonds”, Chambers teamed up with the Savoy Brown rhythm section consistingof Pat De Salvo on Bass, and Garnet Grimm on drums. Chambers and the members from Savoy Brown all became friends after playing a festival together in 2019. Simmonds gave the band his blessing on this new lineup, before his departure from the band, and passing.
Being that Savoy Brown and Sean Chambers are on the same record label together, Quarto Valley Records, this change made sense and felt right to all three musicians, wanting to keep the legacy of the songs and band alive, as well as move forward with new exciting material steeped in the blues that made them.
