Celebrating America’s Greatest Surf Towns.

Four towns. Four premieres. One Champ.

The Inertia team has hand-selected talented local creatives in Montauk, NY, Point Pleasant, NJ, Outer Banks, NC, and St. Petersburg, FLA to produce short films that celebrate the unique character of their hometown. Each film features local surfers and staples of the community from local businesses (coffee shops, taco spots, and watering holes) to local legends who embody the spirit of their town. Our goal is to do right by the people who make America’s surf and adventure towns so special. Think of these short films as long overdue love letters.

To ratchet up the stakes with a layer of friendly competition (because…each location is undeniably AWESOME in its own right and ranking them is a fool’s errand that we’re encouraging with a guilty smile), we’re hosting a bracket style tournament for viewers to vote on their favorite short film to crown The Inertia’s Inaugural Hometown Hype Champion.
