This is not just a concert—it’s a love letter.

To the people who shape us. To the stories we carry. To the music that helps us remember them.

For more than a decade, musician and songwriter Dave Hamar has quietly maintained a tradition: writing a song each year for his wife, Heather. Over time, those songs grew into something much larger—a collection of music inspired not only by Heather, but also by the women who have influenced his life, including his mother and daughter.

The Women of My Life brings those songs to the stage in an evening of original music, storytelling, and connection.

Backed by a stellar band and joined by special guest performers, Dave will share songs that span genres and emotions—from heartfelt and nostalgic to playful and uplifting—along with the stories that inspired them.

This special repeat performance will also feature the premiere of a brand-new original song created through a community arts initiative funded by Creative Pinellas and the National Endowment for the Arts. Led by Dave and Heather Hamar in partnership with St. Pete City Theatre, the project brought together 25 Pinellas County residents to explore the history, present, and future of America through storytelling, collaboration, and songwriting.

The result is a one-of-a-kind musical work shaped by the voices, ideas, and experiences of our community—and on August 28, audiences will be among the first to hear it performed live.
