DESCRIPTION:@ 			\n			\n							 \n\n\nsurrealism in photography\nJoin us for this month’s installment of our Coffee with a Curator series\, where Museum staff or invited guests speak on a range of Salvador Dalí-inspired topics. \nIn conjunction with our upcoming exhibition The Subversive Eye: Surrealist and Experimental Photography from the David Raymond Collection\, this month’s lecture will feature photographer and art critic Tom Winchester.  \nTom Winchester’s presentation on Surrealism in photography will include contemporary and historical images. Because of photography’s unique relation to realism\, its relation to Surrealism is also unique. Whether it’s Dalí and Buñuel collaborating on a film\, Uelsmann creating magic in the darkroom or Spike Jonze directing a music video\, photographic processes have been used to make real situations that seem like dreams. \nLocation: The Dalí Museum’s Will Raymund Theater (registration required)\, with overflow seating available in the Raymond James Community Room or live on YouTube (link below). \n\nRegister to attend in person at the link below. This event is free\, with limited capacity.
