SUMMARY:Cadillac Crew
DESCRIPTION:On the day of a much-anticipated speech by Rosa Parks during the height of the Civil Rights Movement four activists working in a Virginia civil rights office wonder whether the proclamation of equality amongst mankind includes women. With remarkable insight and unexpected humor Cadillac Crew reclaims the stories of the forgotten leaders who blazed the trail for desegregation and women’s rights and asks: when will the world be ready to embrace women in all their capacity? \nTo purchase tickets for groups 10+\, please email development@thestudioat620.org.

SUMMARY:BADFISH "A TRIBUTE TO SUBLIME" w/ JOE SAMBA & WILL EVANS - ST PETE
DESCRIPTION:BADFISH “A TRIBUTE TO SUBLIME” w/ JOE SAMBA & WILL EVANS live in ST PETE\n\n\nDeuterman Productions Presents: BADFISH – a Tribute to Sublime “Orange You Glad To See Us Tour” \nSupport: JOE SAMBA \nWill Evans \n \nBADFISH – a Tribute to Sublime \nThe phenomenon known as Sublime\, arguably the most energetic\, original and uniquely eclectic band to emerge from any scene\, anywhere\, ended with the untimely death \nof lead singer\, guitarist and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose long associated with Sublime’s music\, Badfish\, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute bands is that they have replicated Sublime’s essence\, developing a scene and dedicated following most commonly reserved for label- \ndriven\, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have\, or did\, but as Badfish does! \n \nJOE SAMBA \nGuitar slung low\, microphone turned up\, and emotion overflowing\, Joe Samba taps into rock ‘n’ roll spirit and reggae soul all at once. The Massachusetts-born singer\, songwriter\, and guitarist sonically teeters on an axis of island-inflected grooves and gritty guitar-craft balanced by his dynamic vocals. He finds the sweet spot between smoked-out Caribbean bliss and sweat-soaked punkified energy. It’s why he’s quietly emerged as a phenomenon\, toppling charts at #1 and performing alongside everyone from The Dirty Heads to Pepper. \n \nWill Evans \nWill Evans pulls everyone into his embrace. He musically accesses a space without boundaries where all are welcome to commune openly and move freely. Through quotable folk-inspired lyrics\, breezy grooves\, and roots energy\, it’s as if he’s giving you permission to be that pure self you can’t always be at work or even at home. \nThe Rhode Island-based singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist also puts his words into action via his “Kind Folk” fan community\, activating small acts of kindness\, charity\, and goodwill in tandem with performances nationwide. After generating over 50 million streams independently\, he inspires once again through a series of 2024 releases and much more to come. \n \n**Check out more upcoming shows HERE ** \n \nUse the share tools on this event page to let your friends know where you will be. Please Print PDF ticket for entry into event or your phone email can work as well. No Refund Event. Rain or Shine Event.
