SUMMARY:Surreal Nights at The Dalí
DESCRIPTION:@ 			\n			\n							 \n\n\nOnce a month\, we invite guests to enjoy a surreal night at The Dalí. In celebration of Black History Month we will be joined by the Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project to lead a collage activity in our Raymond James Community Room while DJ DarLuz plays iconic beats throughout the Museum. \nSip on a signature surreal cocktail from Café Gala and enjoy extended hours\, entertainment and activities for free on the ground floor. Admission to the permanent collection and special exhibition The Subversive Eye: Surrealist and Experimental Photography from the David Raymond Collection is available at reduced admission\, half-off after 5pm. \nTo reserve tickets\, go to our ticket page and select your Thursday Night After 5pm ticket for the designated date (members can register here). Not yet a member? Join today. \nAccess to the Museum’s ground floor\, including the Café\, Store and Avant-garden is free and open to the public. Gallery admission is required to access the galleries.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPinellas Diaspora Arts Project\, Inc. \nPinellas Diaspora Arts Project (PDAP)’s mission is to support the arts in underrepresented communities of Tampa Bay through creative programming\, family events and civic education. \nSince 2021 PDAP has hosted events\, including the Tampa Bay Afrofuturism Festival and the Tampa Bay Chalk Festival. PDAP sponsors the ROYAL (Reaching Our Youth Artists League) Project in out school and after-school settings\, its annual Community Tech Day and creates community development partnerships through the BEAUTIFY Project. Its media arm\, Afroflorida Media Collective’s first minidoc\, FOR THE CULTURE TAMPA BAY was an official selection of the 2025 Dunedin Film Festival.

New evening shows will be presented in this unique\, 360-degree format.  \nNow playing in The Dalí Dome is the immersive show\, “Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon.” Over 50 years after the iconic album’s original release in 1973\, celebrate and experience it while encompassed in 360 degrees of sight\, sound and sensation. This experience offers—like Salvador Dalí’s art—a glimpse into creative worlds that are both remarkably insightful and fantastically unconventional.  \nThe immersive show is available on select nights. \nLocation: The Dalí Museum’s first floor and The Dalí Dome \nCafé Gala will be open with drinks + select menu items available for purchase. Guests are welcome to enjoy their beverage inside The Dome during the show. \n \nPlease arrive by your designated showtime.  \nTickets are typically available up to 30 days in advance. \nAll ticket sales are final—no exchanges or refunds.  \nRecommended for 8 years and up. Due to the environment\, parents should use discretion when bringing children to these shows. Viewer discretion is advised due to the explicit nature of some lyrics. Exhibit contains simulations\, such as flashing lights\, which may affect those susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy\, vertigo or other visual sensitivities and motion sickness.  \n\nPink Floyd\, renowned for their revolutionary impact on the music industry\, has embraced how the show artfully blends the album’s themes of everyday modern life with breathtaking views of the solar system and beyond. Played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side of the Moon in surround sound\, each song has a different theme\, some futuristic and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history\, all relating to a time and space experience\, making it the perfect backdrop to celestial visuals.
