DESCRIPTION:@ 			\n			\n							 \n\n\nThis event is sold out.  \nBecome a Junior Docent at The Dalí Museum’s weeklong camp where attendees discover new ways to interpret and create art\, meet new friends and have fun in the Museum. This year’s theme\, “Surreal Street Art\,” will focus on surreal influences in the contemporary scene of street art and how its public access helps to shape its meaning. \nStudents who attend Junior Docent Art Camp build a foundation in art by learning how to look at and talk about art through The Dalí’s collection. As students create their own art\, they explore Dalí’s techniques\, interpret his works in the Museum and become familiar with Dalí’s life and interests. Click here to view more information on the program and view all sessions. \nPlease note: the “elementary school” distinction is based on the grades the student completed in May 2025 (completed 3-5).  \nSchedule (9:15am-4:15pm daily)Our in-person drop off begins at 9am daily with camp beginning at 9:15am. Pick-up runs from 4:15-4:30pm. Each day\, students will explore the museum\, learn about Salvador Dalí’s life and art while making their own art. Students will be provided with snack during two daily breaks and must bring their lunch Monday through Thursday. On Friday\, a pizza lunch will be provided. New evening shows will be presented in this unique\, 360-degree format.  \nNow playing in The Dalí Dome is the immersive show\, “Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon.” Over 50 years after the iconic album’s original release in 1973\, celebrate and experience it while encompassed in 360 degrees of sight\, sound and sensation. This experience offers—like Salvador Dalí’s art—a glimpse into creative worlds that are both remarkably insightful and fantastically unconventional.  \nThe immersive show is available on select nights.  \nTickets: $20 for Museum members | $25 for non-members \nLocation: The Dalí Museum’s first floor and The Dalí Dome \nCafé Gala will be open with drinks + select menu items available for purchase. Guests are welcome to enjoy their beverage inside The Dome during the show. \n \nPlease arrive by your designated showtime.  \nTickets are typically available up to 30 days in advance. \nAll ticket sales are final—no exchanges or refunds.  \nRecommended for 8 years and up. Due to the environment\, parents should use discretion when bringing children to these shows. Viewer discretion is advised due to the explicit nature of some lyrics. Exhibit contains simulations\, such as flashing lights\, which may affect those susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy\, vertigo or other visual sensitivities and motion sickness.  \n\nPink Floyd\, renowned for their revolutionary impact on the music industry\, has embraced how the show artfully blends the album’s themes of everyday modern life with breathtaking views of the solar system and beyond. Played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side of the Moon in surround sound\, each song has a different theme\, some futuristic and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history\, all relating to a time and space experience\, making it the perfect backdrop to celestial visuals. SUMMARY:Poetry at The Dalí: Open Mic Night

Hosted by former poet laureate of St. Petersburg\, Helen Pruitt Wallace and in partnership with Curtis Davis and Dennis Amadeus of Tampa’s GrowHouse poetry collective.  \nThe signup list will be posted on the door of the Museum’s Will Raymund Theater on Thu\, July 10 at 5:30pm. Twenty spots will be available for poets in the order in which they sign up\, with 3 stand-by slots if time allows. Each poet will have three minutes at the mic. \nWhether you want to listen\, read or perform a poem\, all are welcome. Adult audience is recommended for mature content. \nLocation: The Dalí Museum’s Will Raymund Theater  \nThis event is held on the ground floor of the Museum (gallery access not included). Individual books include Shimming the Glass House\, and a chapbook\, Pink Streets. A former Poet Laureate of St. Petersburg\, she is the curator of The Dalí Poetry series.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCurtis Davis was born and raised in Tampa\, FL. He has been writing and performing poetry since a youth in high school and has since traveled all over the states competing in international\, national\, and regional poetry slam competitions. In 2018\, Curtis was ranked the eight poet in the world after becoming a finalist in the Individual World Poetry Slam held in San Diego\, CA. He is the Creative Director of 501c3 Non-Profit Heard ‘Em Say Youth Arts Collective and is the Co-Founder of GrowHouse with Dennis Amadeus. GrowHouse is an artist collective dedicated to growing community\, growing culture and growing creatives through poetry and hip-hop. They host a monthly poetry slam and weekly poetry workshops inside the historical Kress building in Ybor City. Learn more about Curtis on his Instagram. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDennis Amadeus has built a career grounded by his passion to teach and inspire young people about the transformative power of education and expression\, from mentoring youth poets and keynote speaking engagements to curriculum design and implementation of dynamic art-based educational programming. As an artist/teaching artist\, Dennis has traveled extensively across the nation\, performing and conducting art-based educational workshops aimed at getting youth to see their creative potential. He has also organized multiple community fundraisers and book drives to support domestic and international causes\, including organizing 1000 books to be sent to Swaziland\, Africa\, to build a community library. Dennis’ continued community and civic engagement exhibit his desire to use his creativity and ability to bring people together to change communities on a local and international level. Dennis is a writer\, educator\, performance artist and a community organizer determined to use his creative talents to transform communities and the minds of young people.
