Played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side of the Moon in surround sound\, each song has a different theme\, some futuristic and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history\, all relating to a time and space experience\, making it the perfect backdrop to celestial visuals. NSC Creative led the visual production efforts\, working closely with Pink Floyd’s long-time creative collaborator Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis. \nFeaturing the latest technology The Dalí Dome offers\, this is an all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat that will transcend reality and take you way beyond the realms of 2D experience. \n\n“Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon” immersive show is distributed by: \n\n“Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon” immersive show is supported by:

SUMMARY:Art and Meditation at The Dalí – Canceled
DESCRIPTION:@ \n \n \n\n\nThis event has been canceled. \nJoin us to journey inward through art and meditation at The Dalí. Our monthly meditation practice is based on the idea of looking at examples of art to achieve a dynamic stillness of the mind. Each session will examine an artwork from a current exhibition to make us think\, refocus\, slow down and go deeper into our minds to permit body connection and awareness. \nAfter a short introduction to the artwork\, we will consider what is in its narrative and formal qualities that could serve us to quiet our minds. Guided meditation instruction and suggestions will lead us to a place of calmness and equilibrium. Each session will introduce and utilize different sets of tools from a variety of spiritual traditions to assist staying in comfortable meditative mode for about twenty minutes. However\, anyone having a prior meditation practice is welcome to utilize it and join us for the collective peaceful energy building.  \nTibetan sing bowl sound will accompany us with an occasional bell throughout the practice and to signal the end of the meditation session. Afterwards\, we will welcome questions and comments about the practice\, the artwork\, and the experience in general. \nWe will conclude with a minute of closing meditation to internally seal the benefits of the practice.   \nLocation: The Dalí Museum’s Will Raymund Theater \nSeating for this event is limited. We recommend arriving early to secure seating with your group. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKristof Znyk \nKristof is a new transplant to St. Petersburg after living in New York for 30 years. A graduate of City University with a Master of Fine Arts degree\, Kristof taught visual arts in Gramercy Arts High School for 23 years. The intense city life and high job demands led him to become a spiritual seeker. After taking many classes in various yoga studios\, Kristof made the decision to study at the oldest New York City yoga establishment\, the Integral Yoga Institute.  Having earned his credentials\, he taught all aspects of yoga\, physical poses\, philosophy\, breath work and meditation at the institution from 2007 to 2020. Additional studies and certification in Restorative Yoga and Yoga for Kids helped Kristof to incorporate best practices with his students in high school as well as in the Yoga Institute. To deepen and to continue his own spiritual journey\, Kristof was a devoted practitioner of meditation at the Insight Meditation Center\, the Rubin Museum in NYC as well as at ashrams in the Bahamas and California. \n\n\n\nBanner Image: Detail of Dalinian Prophecy\, 1975 by Salvador Dalí

SUMMARY:Coffee with a Curator
DESCRIPTION:@ \n \n \n\n\n\nregister now\n\nDalí and Fairy Tales\nJoin us for this month’s installment of our Coffee with a Curator series\, where Museum staff or invited guests speak on a range of Salvador Dalí-inspired topics. \nThis month will feature a fantastical presentation by Professor Margrit V. Zinggeler’s as we explore the connection between literary fairy tales\, art and the art of Salvador Dalí. \nProfessor Zinggeler will introduce the folk and fairy tales collected by the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm\, first published in Germany in 1812 and the stories’ evolution to be eventually included in the UNESCO World Heritage Texts in 2005. Over the brothers’ lifetime seven editions eventually containing 200 tales were published. The tales were translated into over 160 languages. Walt Disney popularized many Grimm fairy tales in the U.S.\, beginning with his films Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) and Cinderella (1959). Ever since\, Grimms’ fairy tales have influenced every genre of literature\, the arts and the entertainment industry. \nA brief discussion on the definition of literary fairy tales—specifically the Grimms’ fairy tales—will lead to a focus on art particularly Dalí’s art. Dalí illustrated Japanese fairy tales\, the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen and Lewis Carroll as well as many classic novels and biblical stories. But did Dalí know the Grimms’ fairy tales? Exploring a selection of Dalí’s artworks invites a fairy tale interpretation leading to a fantastic conclusion. \nLocation: The Dalí Museum’s Will Raymund Theater (registration required) or live on YouTube (link below). This event is free with limited capacity. An event ticket is required for entry. Gallery access is not included. \n\nTo watch the live stream from home\, click below at the time of the program: \n\nstream now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMargrit V. Zinggeler \nMargrit V. Zinggeler is Professor Emerita of Eastern Michigan University. She is a native of German-speaking Switzerland\, studied at Zurich University\, and eventually moved with her family to the U.S. She earned her PhD in German Literature at the University of Minnesota\, Minneapolis. \nShe used the brothers Grimm fairy tales as tools to teach German language courses based on the books she wrote: German Grammar Through the Magic of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales (2007) and PhonoGrimm: German Phonetics Through the Magic of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales (2014). She additionally specialized in Swiss Studies\, German Culture and Civilization\, and German for Professional Purposes. She published five books\, numerous articles\, and most recently also short stories and poems. She is the recipient of several awards\, most noteworthy a research award by the Swiss National Science Foundation to conduct research for her book Swiss Maid: The Untold Story of Women’s Contributions to Switzerland’s Success (2017). \nShe is the initiator of the non-profit Brothers Grimm Society of North America which was incorporated in Florida in 2021. Harris first came up in the downtown New York City comedy scene in the late 2000’s. Developing a rapid fire\, shockingly funny and personal storytelling style\, that quickly made him a staple in both the most established N.Y. comedy clubs and the hippest of Brooklyn alt shows. He himself has taken his act around the globe to places as far as Hong Kong and Mumbai\, India. \nJ.F. was first tapped to be in front of the camera by Bill Burr\, who hand picked J.F. for his Comedy Central show The Ringers\, where as Bill put it was a showcase of “The best of the new best in comedy.” Shortly after J.F. made his breakout late night stand up debut on The Late Late Show\, racking up the applause breaks and received an open invite to return from host James Corden. His long anticipated first stand up comedy hour special People Make Mistakes is available now through All Things Comedy and 800ib Golrila. J.F. is also one of the go to guys behind the scenes in comedy for over a decade working with stars like Will Smith (pre-slap)\, on hit shows like Netflix’s Magic For Humans and ghost writing for countless other celebrities. \nWhen not touring J.F. splits his time between his adopted home of Los Angeles and the childhood one he can’t shake New York. \n\n*Please note\, there is a 2 item minimum purchase\, per person at this show.
