Gale was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers Conference\, a fellow at Writers in Paradise\, and has served as a panel judge for the Lamdba Literary Awards.\nShe has been nominated for a Pushcart prize in both fiction and nonfiction.
